Abstract: The morphological characters, distribution and type locality of Cycas taiwaniana are discussed in this paper. Cycas taiwaniana is only found in central-southern Fujian Province in China, with only one wild plant growing in Pinghe County. The type plant of the species still grows in front of CHEN Yuan-Guang Temple in Zhangzhou City.
