Abstract: Tile distinguishing characters between Lithospermum and Arnebia are tabulated and these two genera are considered different between each other. Five species of the former and six species of the latter are recognized in China, and two keys to species are given for the two genera respectively. The pattern of the disjunct distribution ofLithospermum offici nale is discussed, and a map of its distribution range is given.
