Abstract: In accordance with the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature, the name Tutcheria spectabilis Dunn (1908) has priority over the later name Tutcheria championii Nakai (1940) which is illegitimate, despite the fact that the latter name has been used in some recent Chinese floras.
