The latest impact factor has been released by the Journal Citation Reports from Clarivate. Journal of Systematics and Evolution (JSE) now has a 5 year impact factor of 3.3 which ranks it 80th in the Plant Sciences category.

In 2024, JSE articles had 2,933 total citations, and JSE ranked in Q2 of the Plant Science category. The 2024 CiteScore for JSE was 8.2, and ranked 55th among 731 journals in Ecology, Evolution, Behavior and Systematics, placing it in the top 8%. JSE is currently accessible in nearly 4300 institutions worldwide and indexed by 66 global databases, including SCI, Scopus, Zoological Record and Google Scholar. The yearly full-text downloads of JSE articles exceeded 240,000 in 2024.
