Taxonomy of the genus Huperzia Bernh. (sen. str.) sect. Serratae (Rothm.) Holub in China

Abstract

Abstract: The circumscription of the sect. Serratae (Rothm.) Holub of the fern-allied genus Huperzia Bernh. (sen. str.) is revised in this paper. Twelve species are recognized, and names of two species and one variety are reduced as synonyms. The tewlve species are H. serrata, H. crispata, H. sutchueniana, H. liangshanica, H. kangdingensis, H. delavayi, H. kunmingensis, H. chishuiensis , H. leishanensis , H . herterana , H . lucidula and H. lajouensis . The three new synonyms are H. minimadenta J. F. Cheng, H. kamaensis Ching et S. K. Wu 及 H. lucidula(Michx.)Trev. var. asiatica Ching.
